Race Report: H2H Chainstretcher, Peekskill, NY -Sept 12, 2010
Today was just one of those days...
From the gun, things were looking good. Jordan took the front of the race with the leaders and Matt set into his rhythm. Both riders felt good, and it was Giant Mid-Atlantic's race to lose; either of the two in blue could have won.
The race was tight, and no substantial gaps really formed. Towards the end of lap one, Jordan was feeling the effects of his recent hospitalization due to a bee sting. Matt was right there and continued to make up ground. Feeling good and climbing good, he just could not get into a rhythm or focus on the race. He was thinking about food or a date (or both). That's unfortunate- IT'S A RACE!!
Yeah, just one of those days. In the end Matt finished in 6th with Jordan just behind. Not bad, not great.
Next weekend it is ON!!!!!
